Mora knives of Sweden. In fishing, sporting, hunting, survival, tradesman and the professional culinary industries, Mora knives are well known for their superior ability to cut, chop, clean and fillet. Craftsman, woodcarvers, hunters and survivalists are some of our most loyal customers. As one of man's oldest tools, the knife has served over the centuries as a tool, an eating implement, a weapon - even an object of exchange.
Mora knives hold a special place in the bushcraft community. Founded in the late 1800s by swedish cutler Frost-Erik Ersson in the small village of Ostnor, Mora knife history has deep roots. Many knife factories emerged in Sweden soon after and also made Mora-styled knives. Over time, many went out of business or sold out to other knife factories. In 2005, Mora of Sweden was founded and was the merger of 2 swedish cutlers: K.J. Eriksson and Frosts Knife Factory. Today, the only Mora knives in production are by Mora of Sweden.
